Did I tell you guys that I am spending my spring break in Seattle? Probably not cause I haven't told you guys a whole lot of anything for a while, ha, sorry. Anyhow, I drove down with my roommate Jill on Saturday. It was a long drive but it was good to spend time with her singing Shania Twain and listening to Harry Potter. As soon as we got over the border there were all these amazing cherry trees in bloom and we kept wondering aloud what we are doing living in Edmonton, seriously. When we got to Seattle Jill's peeps immediately whisked her away and I settled in to hang out with my Granny and catch up with Seattle. Some pictures of my time so far...
Now, I think so far these pictures might be a bit deceptive as far as weather conditions go because folks, it has pretty much been raining since I got here. Yesterday I went to Anthro, read in Starbucks, and went shopping with my Granny. I spent my afternoon today visiting antique stores and then there was a bit of a window of blue sky so I ventured out to take a few photos and go over to Edmonds to grab some Starbucks and sit on the beach.
And after a stop at Starbucks to pick up a chai latte, I walked down to the beach and finished up my April calendar drawing. I missed this place and despite the wind and (relative) cold I stayed for a few hours.
I even had to put my hood up at one point which I almost never do. My chubby little face here tells me that I need to keep up with running now that I'm over my month of sickness and winter of slacking, ha. Note the $30 grey leather jacket I bought at the end of last month in lieu of food. I definitely paid the price when I found myself eating Ichiban and toast for dinner though, ha. I had to buy it, it wad the last one and it was in my size, destiny. Also note the wind and clouds. The ocean is always worth it though and I'd take rain over snow any day.
More later, how are you peeps?
