Long time, no see.

Hi guys, sorry about the prolonged absence. It's been a bit of a whirlwind couple of weeks. I moved out of the place I was living in to a new studio that is all my own. I only have two really crummy shots of the place that I took when I was moving in but I have big plans for it.

and another of the hallway leading to the kitchen with it's awful orange and green walls. Luckily I'm allowed to paint; I hate orange. The kitchen is a super cute lavender color and the main living space has two white walls and two blue. I'm hoping to do something with frames on the blue wall a 'la Sex & The City, Carrie's apartment.

 

Cute right? I loved the bedroom make over from the SATC movie, especially this wall and I'm excited to see what I can do with mine. I'll take more pictures of my space when I've gotten things together.

In other news my Mom had a bit of an accident on Friday night and I ended up suddenly leaving Seattle at 11:30pm that night and driving for 12 hours to Calgary. I got to the hospital just in time for her emergency surgery and have spent the week helping her out. She tore the heck out of her elbow, and filled it with gravel right down to the bone. As such her arm is stitched up in a half-cast and she can't bend her arm at all. That makes it a bit tricky for her to do things. She was in a lot of pain for the first few days and had to take drugs every three hours (that made for a lot of sleep loss for both of us). She's getting a bit better now and I'm glad I was able to come and help out. Hopefully she'll be able to move around a bit better toward the end of the week because I have to be back in Seattle this weekend.

Well that's me for now, I am still taking print orders but it will be a bit longer before I manage to get them out as I'm not in Seattle anymore.
