I'm in the middle of a job transition at the moment. It's been fairly stressful but the lovely weather this week has afforded me some perspective. More on that later and on to the latest news. I am going to have a little show this May at the downtown Seattle Anthropologie!
They have this grand staircase that they allow people to display art on monthly and after an interview with the Display Coordinator, the month of May has been bestowed upon me. As such, I will be spending more time drawing and less time reading for the next while. 'Cannery Row' will have to wait, (although I am reading a parenting book that the new family I am working for requested. A single girl reading parenting books? Very weird). I am planning on continuing with the architectural stuff I've been experimenting with in my sketchbook. All freehand, no rulers or sketching with pencil this time around, just watercolor and art marker and 9 hours or so. Pencil just walked over a drawing I've spent about 5 hours on with wet feet, smudging and ruining it entirely. Agh, restart, kill the dog.
