I finally made it downtown this week to take some pictures of my stuff. It might be a bit of an overkill but if you read my blog I assume you're interested.
This is one of my best inventions ever. I knew I was going to need something to put my cards in so I could hang them on the wall next to my art but I couldn't find anything that even came close to what I needed so I had to get a bit creative. I cut apart a cardboard jewelry box and then painted it gold. Then I mounted it with wire to this lovely frame, glued it back together and voila!
I needed it to be extra cute so I added the little paper boat watercolor drawings and a 'take one' speech bubble to the front. The business cards have paper boat drawings on them too so there's continuity.
I am way too proud of this invention. Seriously, I may just hang it on my wall at home.
And now for the art. Everything was hand drawn, woven, glued and watercoloured by me. The frames are all vintage thrift store numbers given new life by a coat of white spray paint.
So there you have it. A look for all of you who are not in Seattle and are thus unable to frequent the lovely downtown Anthropologie.
